Further, the fact that he speaks with remarkably standard grammar and enunciation says a lot about the African American English as not being an African language. Akeems personality portrays the cultural exceed between the Un ited States and Africa without allowing for the expression of that distance as a contrast between the advanced westward and the poor Africa.The film does not depict any language barriers resulting from the interplay of the interaction of cultures. In fact, all the characters in the film are portrayed as speaking the same language and communication is effective.
